So with my best friends baby due any day now, I thought it might be time to get my butt on that whole Baby Shower Wrap-Up I’ve been promising you guys.
There wasn’t really a theme at the get go, but it turned into a happy dance of pink and grey with an explosion of sparkles added for good measure. There were also a lot of hearts.
You’ve already seen the Handmade Cupcake Toppers, which you can get the full download on HERE.
For food, I made a few simple dips and other savory finger foods, but they were really just to fill the table because my focus was on the sweets!! The cute little rattle pops were made by simply sticking a donut hole onto a Popsicle stick that I’d tied a cute bow around.
I also made Baby Bottle Marshmallow Pops {LOVE} using marshmallows, white chocolate, Gummy LifeSavers and Mike & Ikes. I’ll post the {How To} on that as soon as I can. I had originally planned on dipping the gummy and Mike & Ike nipple tip into white chocolate dyed pink or yellow, but I wound up falling in love with them just the way they were.
For decorations, I made various heart mobiles and banners and I decorated mini clothespins with hearts and glitter and used them to hang the various signs and to embellish the cups.
It was a December Baby Shower, so we had a Hot Cocoa Bar with various toppings for the kids…and nips for the adults {nothing like Peppermint Schnapps to warm the sole}
One of my favorite decorations were the photo props! To make them, I simply sketched a baby bottle, binky and rattle onto card stock, cut them out and glued them to prop sticks. I also printed an elephant I found online and used the leftover hearts from the heart mobile {doused with glitter, of course} for a few extras. I’ll definitely be making photo props for all other parties in the future.
