I have a long list of projects, from handmade holiday garland to a hand-built rustic island, but sometimes it’s accomplishing the little things that make all the difference in the world.
Today I put my laundry list of projects on hold to do a little laundry room cleanup. My rental has a little closet laundry room with a bit of shelving for storage. It’s not a big space and the room itself isn’t in great shape, but it does add to the houses storage capacity and you can’t really complain when you have a laundry room in a rental.
For the last few months it’s been where I keep…well, everything I can’t find space somewhere else for. It’s a bit of a mess in there. The biggest issue is the ladder. It doesn’t fit. It gets in the way of everything and prevents any proper storing of everything else.
So, I took that bad boy outside and hung it on the back of the house using to heavy duty nails. Easy peasy!
After that, it was pretty easy to get that laundry room back in organized shape. I reorganized the shelves, hung the ironing board and cleaning supplies and got all of my holiday decorations off the floor and onto storage shelves.
May not seem like much, but it makes me feel — So. Much. Better.
