Last week I shared my Capsule Wardrobe and while I promise this blog won’t turn into a fashion and style blog (awkwardly posing for photos isn’t really my thing), I did want to share a few outfits to show how it works in everyday life.
I work from home these days. As a writer, blogger and business owner without a currently operating business (you can read more about the restaurant HERE) my wardrobe is pretty casual, but in a few months – once the restaurant is open – I’ll need to add more business clothes to the mix and I still plan to maintain the Capsule Wardrobe lifestyle.
My husband teases me that I have a Denver Broncos t-shirt in my Capsule Wardrobe, but the truth is that it makes sense for me. I wear it every Sunday during football season, which means it gets worn just as much as everything else in there, if not more. No coincidence that we’re playing in the Super Bowl this weekend. Eeeek!!!
Weather-permitting, sweaters and skinny jeans are my uniform, but it can get into the high 70s here in the winter, so it’s not always an option. For warmer days, I have a few t-shirt options and this is one of my favorite outfits. Would you believe that I’ve had this t-shirt for over 15 years! Proof that key items really do stand the test of time.
I take every opportunity I can to dress up. So whether I’m going to book club, on a date with my husband or an industry event, I’ll always be in heels (or in this case, booties) and more often than not a dress or skirt.
