Last week I shared the girls’ new customized closet, but it was missing something important. Well, my melamine tape finally arrived and I was able to finish the raw edge of the one melamine shelf I had on the upper left corner of the closet.
Here’s what that shelf looked like before.
It’s a pretty simple process. You simply heat press the melamine tape onto the raw edge using a hot iron.
Once you hit the strip with some heat, simply press it with a wood block in order to smooth it down and press it into place.
Then cut of any excess and that’s it.
The closet is done! …unless I decide to paint it…
